Children's Week
It's officially Children's Week! This special WoW holiday began May 1 and lasts until May 7. It takes place in Shattrath, Orgrimmar, and Stormwind, so if you are interested in taking part in the festivities head over to one of those cities.
The basic lore of Children's Week is that it is a time period in which the heroes (that's you) give back some time to the children orphaned by the war. If you want to see what this is all about head to Stormwind for Alliance and Orgrimmar for Horde and visit your city's orphanage. Once you are there you will be able to go on adventures with your orphan pal. Some of the places you and your orphan pal will want to go are (according to the good folks at worldofwarcraft.com):
* The bank in Darnassus (Alliance)
* The lighthouse in Westfall (Alliance)
* Jaina Proudmoore in Theramore (Alliance)
* Mor'shan Rampart (Horde)
* Lordaeron Throne Room (Horde)
* Cairne Bloodhoof in Thunder Bluff (Horde)
Once you are done adventuring head back to the orphanage and you will be able to choose from several rewards:
* Turtle Box
* Rat Cage
* Piglet's Collar
* Curmudgeon's Payoff
All of which, except for the last (which is gold) are neat summonable pets.
Also, head to the Stattrath Orphanage and pick up another little orphan pal and have some more fun adventures (once again from worldofwarcraft.com) in:
* The Dark Portal
* The Exodar (Alliance)
* Silvermoon City (Horde)
* Caverns of Time
Once again, when you are done adventuring with your orphan pal head back to the orphanage and choose from another fabulous selection of summonable pets:
* Egbert's Egg
* Elekk Training Collar
* Sleepy Willy
