night elf hunter took the boat and went to next place and tryed to get mining training the trainer will not let me train.

I am lvl 43 paladin with mining and blacksmithing as talents. I have gotten to level 290 and all my smelting is greyed out and i cannot get any other smelting training (none are available at any of the mining trainers. I need to learn fel iron but it isnt available. what am i doing wrong?
